: Dolly the Sheep
Dolly (1996-07-05 – 2003-02-14), a Finn Dorsett ewe, was the first mammal to have been successfully cloned from an adult cell, though the first actual thing
to be cloned, was a tadpole in 1952. She was cloned at the Roslin Institute in Scotland and lived there until her death when she was six. On 2003-04-09 her stuffed remains were placed at Edinburgh's Royal Museum, part of the National Museums of Scotland.
Can humans be cloned???
Scientists already have the technology to clone humans. This has been proven by cloning sheep, which
is relatively the closest thing to the complexity of cloning a human without actually cloning oneThe only remaining issue
that is keeping them from producing a test clone is the moral issue of tampering with the creation of human life.
But as
far as will all humans be cloned, the process is so expensive that only the extremely rich would be able to afford it, and
even then there would have to be a really good reason like a terminal illness. basiclly they would only use the clone for
"replacement parts" as they would be certain to be an exact match.
DOG CLONES
These were the puppies which were born in October and November last year, that are clones of a
Labrador retriever named Chase. The dogs have been in training almost since birth and show strong signs of possessing the
genes necessary to combat narcotics trafficking.
